Our Mission
The Mission of the NDPF is to reflect the needs of various groups that make up the society of St. Kitts and Nevis and ensure that no one is left behind.
The Mission is to also create more opportunities for Kittitians and Nevisians so that they can seize such opportunities in areas like the digital economy, the blue economy, and the orange economy.
Our Vision
St. Kitts and Nevis envision developing itself as a model sustainable island developing state. The vision is to seize the opportunities that are emerging to push forward in creating a thriving, resilient, and sustainable economy.
A core element of this vision is to create a society with more equity and balance – a model island state with equality and diversity while transforming the state into an information society, posed to capture the opportunities and overcome the challenges of the 21st century.

It is my distinct honour to serve the citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis in this vital ministry, which plays a crucial role in shaping the economic landscape of our twin-island Federation. Our mission is to stimulate sustainable economic growth, attract high-quality investments, and create an environment that enables our citizens and businesses to thrive.
As a Ministry, we are dedicated to designing and implementing policies and strategies that promote national development, foster innovation, and strengthen economic, social, and climate resilience. Through effective planning, project execution, and strong public-private partnerships, we aim to create meaningful jobs, reduce inequality, and improve the standard of living for everyone. The Ministry of Economic Development and Investment acts as a catalyst for change. Therefore, through our National Development Planning Framework 2023-2037, we are working to diversify the economy by bolstering traditional sectors like agriculture, manufacturing and tourism and venturing into new areas such as renewable energy, digital innovation and green industries.
We recognize that attracting responsible investment—both local and foreign—is crucial for unlocking the full potential of our economy.
