Development and development planning have two aspects- policies as well as institutions. In development planning, strategies may be brilliant, but there may not be efficient institutions to implement those strategies.

Pursuing public sector reform to make it more efficient, effective, people centred, and development anchored is required. The private sector is also a major contributor to the development of the country thus public policy must be geared towards making conducive environments where the private sector can thrive.

Finally, it is also important to continuously engage with our donor partners, whose help has been a key propellor of the growth and development in the country.
